googlesyndication.com - hangs page laod

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but whenever I load a new IIS page, it keeps stalling by constantly trying to load data from googlesyndication.com.

Where is this happening - and is it something we can do without if it is an ongoing problem out of your control?

Cheers
Chris

The Google Ad gets loaded off the Google server, not from the IceInSpace server. Google is having a slow day maybe.

Thanks Geoff - Found three problems after loading AdBlock for Firefox.

1) The Nasa-sourced solar image that was causing my page to sit there constantly loading. AdBlocker gets rid of the image and everything now settles down once everything legitimate has quickly finished loading.

2) Google-analytics.com scripts.

3) Google-syndication.com scripts.

I removed these and it's all nice and snappy again.

The solar image is loaded from IceInSpace. Always has.

Hmm.. interesting. My status bar was indicating the link's properties then, rather than the images' - and just hanging there.

I'm now getting pagead2.googlesyndication.com hanging my pages again.

Sorry, missed this yesterday - but it sounds as if you found it OK.

Another addon you might want to have is NoScript - especially if you run XP (or any of the fine products that Microsoft sell )

It allows you to restrict the running of scripts via a web page.
