My attempt at the Triffid Nebula 8 inch

This shot had about 40 60 second captures and 50 30 second captures.
Thru 8 inch f5, nikon D5500, heq5 mount.
Although I can get some red it refuses to display blue unless the saturation is turned up to max and you get a blue blow out.
It needs colouring in but I will avoid that and settle for what it is.
The auto guide worked but I had a sand bag to add to the counter weight which played havoc as did the unsecured cables...next time will be better I just know it.

Forgive my poor memory, but what software do you use to stack your images Alex? If it is DSS just accurately align the RGB cones and you will get plenty of blue.

Yes Raymo DSS.
and I tried it all but for whatever reason little colour which is strange.
I keep my approach standard so it is curious why I am having this happen..again with the blob I just posted. I really am wondering if I changed a camera setting but it is packed away ready for my trip which was to be this morning but will be tomorrow ..when I get back to Sydney I will look at the camera as it is the only thing that I can think could change my results so much.
Anyways I am not worried now that I know how to colour in my captures
