Great image Bert, lots of detail, to the un-initiated at first glance you think that's a noisy image until you look deeper and the noise is all stars.

Out of interest, why is there a single diffraction spike on the bright stars?

Bill it has been intermittent and it was due to dodgy connectors in a USB hub. This most probably due to corrosion by being out all night for years.

This spike disappeared when I downloaded at 1MHz rather than 8MHz.

I have replaced the hub which is dedicated to just the camera data.

I have done some tests. See latest post.
