I just use the kitchen step ladder I made. And I didn't even have a 1" pic to copy from.

(Cheryl gets annoyed when I keep getting dirty footprints on the kitchen ladder lol)

I use an adjustable height computer chair for the low stuff and the step ladder for the high stuff. At or near zenith I just stand.

I use up to four cheap plastic garden chairs. They are designed to be stacked on top of each other for storage, but I stack them to raise the height. Stack of four is tall enough for zenith, and one is low enough for near horizon observation. Only problem is that it's not a very portable solution.

With an 8" dob, the zenith is a real back buster. Lower back pain for days from 1/2 hour of observing.

On my 12" the EP is the exact height of my eye at zenith! Cool huh! No bending or stretching. I just stand there and look in.

Laurie, don't you ever move that brown suitcase or the aerosol can next to it?

Congrats on making the 'Big-Time'.
