ED100 & NGC3372 - Take 2

Last night unexpectedly was fine so I grabbed the opportunity to improve (or try to improve) previous effort on this target. The moon at 1st QTR. wasn't as much a nuisance as I expected but sky wasn't as clear as the weekend before last.

I'm puzzled by the slight green cast in the lower RH corner.

Hi Robert,

Nice work, that is a massive improvement on take 1 and a fine shot in its own right. star shapes are better and you've got a good colour balance in this one. if you use photoshop you can go to channel mixer and turn the green down a touch. did you apply any flats to the image?

Cheers

Russ

Much improved Robert.
You may want to crop out the stacking artefacts down the right hand side but its a good start nonetheless.

what are you processing with?

Goran.

Many thanks for your complimentary comment Russ and Goran. I have to admit, I like it too .
I added darks when I processed in Registax 6. Also did colour adjustment with the histogram in Registax, with a final "touch-up" in PS CS3.
I forgot to remove the artifacts bit at the edge and didn't notice the slight green cast until I'd uploaded the image. I'll have to have another little fiddle.

That is coming along very nice. Some pretty good detail in the image.
