**M42 Orion & Running man from early morning 350D my best!!**

Hi Guys,

This is probably one of my best pic i have ever done!!! gee's i love the 350d!

I can't remember how many pics of different exposures, different ISO's, using heaps of layered mask to get this. Also captured in under direct moon light. Just spent 4 hours on the processing part. i think i can still do better on the processing part. Staying up till 5am is so worth it lol.

The pic hasn't been cropped but i fix the stars slightly around the edges due to coma. Pic has been reduced in size only. the actual pic was huge.

im very rapped! Also the colours came out different , but i guess that is expected from an unmodded 350d.

Hi Eric,

that is a wonderful image. Great that you can get both nebulas in the same FOV makes a even better total image.

Make a good wall hanging.

That's an awesome shot Eric.....

Now - to help out an up and coming astrophotographer.... could you post or email to me some of your "straight from camera" shots.... I want to see what you begin with, so I'll know what can be done to get images like yours!
Have only had the G-11 out twice so far, really just climbing the polar align learning curve - but hope to shoot with the D70 soon....

Again - AWESOME image.....

many many thanks guys. glad you guys like it!. it is abit too much blue im currently playing around with the colour settings right now. i guess this image may not be the final after all

no worries lee. check your pm. straight shot images doesnt show that much details at all. i have to say 70% goes on the processing part of a final image.
the D70 is a great camera. i was about to get one .

Wow, top work....I remember M42 was one of the first objects I imaged with my D70 and I was so stoked to get something but you've blitzed it with your first go
