Q2 Lovejoy passes by M79

Hi all,
Yet another go at the so-called Christmas Comet.
I just registered for Adobe Creative Cloud to get Photoshop and have used it (without much knowledge of it) to assist in getting me a bit of tail happening. DSS is a bit fiddly for me so it's just a standard star registered Nebulosity stack processed in Star Tools and finished off in Photoshop (ably assisted by my buddy Mel who does know his way around Photoshop). I took 5 subs at 120 seconds at 1600 ISO on my 1000D.
I wanted to have the comet and M79 in the same field and have been waiting a while for the conjunction, hoping that the weather would co-operate. I'm satisfied with the result - especially in the knowledge that comets are not easy due to the relative motion of the comet versus the stars.
cheers, Bruce.

Well done Bruce it's a good capture with M79. Comets are hard enough to shoot on their own.

Hey thanks everyone. Yes Rod. I was looking forward to the opportunity. It's not as wonderful as some I have seen, but I am enjoying the learning.
Cheers and Happy New Year.
