latest try at Helix.

Session was cut short, but managed 50 x 60 secs. @ 3200.
8" Newt, 1100D.
Getting better, I think.

that is some psychedelic colouring! I like it!

looks like a lot more signal in this one from the old one, all I can see for improvement is that is a bit black clipped and therefore probably hiding some of the fainter detail.

im wondering whether I've seen a helix on a non modified camera before definitely a lot more blue.

It's a bit Psychedelic because I increased the contrast more than normal
in an effort to bring out the details around the periphery of the inner circle. Sort of succeeded. Will try to get some longer subs soon. The stars are bloated because the image is greatly enlarged.
