Saturn with a canon

Finally getting the astrophotography bug back again after a bit of a rest.
I finally got to try EOS Camera Movie Record software last night using my trusty old 40D on the back of my 100ed. Compared to the last time I tried Saturn with a Phillips SPC900 the 40D is much better. Still not as good as other cameras but I'm happy with it for now.
About 500 frames stacked to get to this.
Of course as soon as I started to get into it the clouds started rolling in so didn't get to try it with the 2x barlow. Some thing never change. Next time.

Small, but nice and very clear.
DSLR cameras are very good. I just noticed myself how much better DSLR cameras are than webcams.

Nice job Brett; for some reason I haven't been able to get a result
like that from my 1100D.
