More Meteors

A couple of pics from this morning but what stands out in the shots with the magallenic clouds is the amount of meteors in this area . I have been seeing them all week but not with the naked eye.The Pine tree is lit up care of the Yelgun rest stop lights.

Nice

I like the top left of the four in one image.

The single tree on it's own is a great idea, the only detraction I think is the little bit of tree coming in from the top left and right. I think it'd probably be better without them, but also can see a shot working well with trees encroaching on the sides like fingers reaching out to the apex behind the central tree.

Love that first tree shot. The branches orientation and the clouds lines, the stars. Perfect framing. It just works. Very cool.

Some of the meteors actually look like satellites, specially the paralell tracks. Those are hardly meteors.

Having said that the area has been getting an unusual activity of meteors from the Eta-Eridianids meteor shower, which I believe has shown a small outburst this year. I have no photos but I observed a dozen Eta-Eridianids on the night of August 11th.
