Several firsts

Ok.... this was done quick and dirty, there were several reasons I knew I would be allowed to stay out very late last night.

But... my first go at using drift alignment with my wedge on my LX90, first real go at stacking in DeepSkyStacker, and first time I was using my finger to push the camera button and risking image shaking, as for some reason BackyardEOS wasnt working right, and my first go at using Photoshop on a Deep Sky Image.

I picked M42, as it is a fairly easy one to see and acquaire for my first polar aligned photography. Came out a lot more purple that I expected....

I have seen many, much better, M42 - Orion Nebula images, but this was a first effort in this configuration for me.

And another first... my first posting of a deep sky image on these forums!

Geoff.

This is a very good first M42, Geoff. Next one will be even better. Keep them coming!

Cheers,

Eric
