M42 in moonglow

Orion in moonglow last night.
First run with the 8" skywatcher
Captured using the 8" on the Heq5
Modded 1100D 20 sec exposures
Total 10Mins @ 800 ISO

Looks like the 8" doesn't do a bad job.
Stacked in DSS then post-process in CS5

Pin point stars Paula. I was a bit worried about your mount coping with the weight, but it looks like it handled it with ease.

Thanks Nettie Surprisingly it handled it quiet well, but if there was a bit of wind it wouldn't have been as steady.

is the mod just the IR filter removal or is it cooled as well.

Thanks alistair, its just the IR filter removed, hubby has all gadgets ready for the cooling mod to go on.
