Homunculus

Having an opportunity to get out again tonight,
I took advantage to try Homunculus again.

The night was once again cut short by sea fog
and cloud rolling in.

22 x 120 seconds guided
ZWO 183mc Pro.
ZWO UV Filter
Skywatcher 250 f/4.7
Skywatcher az eq6-GT
Asi Air Pro live stacking
Post prossesing in Windows 7
Photo Gallery and Snapseed.

A bit of focus issues with EAF,
and cutting my teeth with new
equipment and such, but I'm
still happy with the results.

Thanks for looking.

Paul.

Paul,
Another fine effort exposing some nice detail
Looking at the outer regions Stars look to have some coma ? Maybe a spacing issue ?
Yep, that sea fog is a pain when it rolls in unexpectedly, humidity is still fairly high unfortunately, Winter can’t come sooner

Well done !!

Cheers
Martin

Hey Paul,

A crop of the area around the Homunclus shows some really nice colours and nice star colours too. Martin is right, there’s definitely some star issues to work on off axis but overall quite a nice effort.

Thanks Martin and Ryan for your comments.

Yes, agreed, there is coma in the image.

I noted that not long after the first subs were beginning to be stacked.

My eyes are really failing me, fine details are becoming messy !

A Baader MPCC Mark 3 was in the image train, and I took a gamble
with the spacing.

No spacers were used with it, so now its time to try some.

This was the first real light for this scope, and I am very impressed
with the results it has brought, especially under a near full Moon.

Looking forward to clear stable nights to fine tune and enjoy other targets,
but then again, who isn`t ?!!

Thank you for your compliments, I truly appreciate them.

Paul.
