Pixinsight - Pixel rejection laser stripe and foggy/cloud lens affected stars

The SVAA club night was fun but not conducive to imaging. The image below, having achieved focus and polar alignment, stood to be the one and only of the evening, with cloud and fog rolling in.

I did get another 6 images and combined them all, laser streak dew on the lens, a thin layer of cloud/fog, and all.

PI users might find this interesting, if ever you happen to be in the vicinity of someone with a green laser.

Standard ImageIntegration settings with Windsorized Sigma clipping High Low 3.0, High 1.0.

I tried percentile and linear fit clipping, which produced better results with the foggy bright stars, rendering an airy disk appearance, but not with the 'very wide green streak across the middle of the image.'

Leave that one out of the stack is the obvious solution, but this was an interesting exercise.

Nicely done Rowland!

You removed the laser very well
and yes, it was a good club night despite the intermittent fog!

Thanks Ken and Martin. It came up better than expected. I decided that it was an interesting exercise in pixel rejection... so to be fair, perhaps I should be careful where I set up next time.

I don't think it was a matter of 'where' you set up.
I think it was more a situation of an over-exited Barry and a Green laser
