Banana Nebs

After seeing Tony's image of the Banana and always looking for a challenge to push my myself even further, I thought i would give NGC 3199 aka Banana Nebula a run.

Initially I started out with 180 sec subs but decided to see what 300 was like, for the most part guiding was hoovering around the 0.4 to 0.6 using an 420x80mm refractor piggyback on my RC8.

In the end I stuck with the 300s, when processing this I forgot to add the 180s into it, I figured the extra 45 mins wasn't going to add a huge amount of difference to the final. I may run it all just to see if there was anything....

60 x 300s subs
maybe 50 dark
maybe 30-50 bias
some flats

RC8 reduced to 1222m f/l w/80mm refractor piggyback
ASI071MC w/ L-Extreme
Pegasus focuser
EQ6 hot rodded

N.I.N.A using framing asssistant
PHD2
Stellarium/+scope
Sharpcap

Thnaks for looking

That is an excellent picture of a faint object. Well done and nicely processed too.

Really nice go at what looks like a difficult target!
