HEQ5 Light Blinking

When using my HEQ5 Mount the power light blinks when slewing. I have tried using deep cycle batteries, power adapters and astro power boxes.

Any idea where the issue may be? I’m thinking there could be an issue with the connector on the Mount itself.

Power draw is too much and it's not getting enough power. Change the slew rate to make slower and see if that helps

The premature under-voltage warning has also been an issue with some versions of the firmware, it was mentioned as fixed in the release notes of one of the updates.

Would that be the firmware version on the board itself?

I don’t remember, sorry, it’s been a while since I had the HEQ5 mount.

Chris,
On my HEQ5 and NEQ6 I use a 10A 12v DC supply and add a 120w 12v to 15v car converter.
I never have any issues with slewing etc.
Works well for me.

As others mentioned, power draw.
Use a different power cable with thicker strands.

Interesting, thanks for the responses.

I use it with a mains adapter, pocket power box and deep cycle battery, all the same issue.
