I purchased a Tak FC100D (F7.4) earlier this year and finally have it kitted out with appropriate assessors. (Clamshell and bracket to hold normal finders).

I find it to be a lovely combination of performance at a light weight; a fantastic grab and go scope on an Altz mount.

I ordered the Finder Base directly from Ali Express. From memory, it cost about $30 US with postage and took about 2 weeks to arrive. In their extended list of Astronomy items, look from about the 40th page onwards.

The AZ4 works well for me, and the tension is easy to adjust. It has a tiny bit of slack in it sometimes,but does not bother me.

Thanks Bob, I've ordered one of those and a similar black one with a flat base. I'm planning on attaching the finder base to the top of the clamshell for finders or a guide scope.

My FSQ-85EDX "Baby Q" was finally weened and out of nappies. She's grown a LOT overnight!

Wonder if she'll further blossom into an FSQ-130...

Why would I want to do that? SXP is perfect.

TOA 150 is too heavy and too long for my transportation requirements. Not all of us have an observatory
