Meh... I'll see you and raise you one... inch that is... an MK91 (9" f/13) with a 7" f/15 counterweight (!) on AZ8 with encoders, Nexus II and SkySafari.

A few little tidy-up changes to the AZ-EQ6GT mount......
It now has a pair of ADM saddle clamps which have been draw-filed and polished to make them pretty....
The saddle locking knobs have been recessed into the top bar by 4mm to turn the 'Slide-in' map into a 'Tip-in' one.....
The counterweight bar now has a flat ground into it that allows dual-mount mode without the threat of the c/w bar rotating as the factory screw is nearly useless....
The itty-bitty factory clamping screw has been replaced with an industrial strength M12 HT clamping lever.... (the lever handle was a bit long so out with the hacksaw, etch primer and satin black epoxy..)
The custom DewBuster Controller is now fitted to the top of the mount using a Polemaster adapter making for easy removal and less stuff hanging off the mount...

Nice . I used to lust over these in the Sky and Telescope in the day.
Brian.
Thanks Brian. When I was a young decky on a rock lobster boat we had a big haul and instead of blowing the dough down the pub(which sometimes did happen )I got the ota (new) and the mount (second hand) off Claudio.
