24th June Solar images

24th June. Cloudy with rain most of the day but I managed to get two images with my Canon 550d. Both single exposures, the first at 540 nm thru a herschel wedge, the second a H alpha shot (but more effected by the wind and cloud). Some flaring around AR3038 is visible in the H alpha shot and a nice long prominence along the NW limb. Thanks for viewing.

You did well under trying conditions John. At least you got to see the remnants of AR3032's huge filament (now prom). It has been frustrating that over the last few days to be watching this filament approaching the western limb on the GONG and not being able to actually see it. We also got a small break in the clouds today but only managed a single image.
