APM Telescopes

I’ve been eyeing off a new telescope for 2022 , a TS Photon 10” f5 carbon fibre newt
APM telescopes in Germany apparently have them in stock, 1 to 4 weeks delivery ( questionable)
Has anyone had any recent experience with APM telescopes ?

What seems strange is that Teleskop Express in Germany ( supposedly the manufacturer of the TS Photon 10” f5 carbon fibre newt ) is out of stock. Folk on IIS have previously mentioned that Teleskop Express are a good supplier

Any experiences with APM telescopes would be appreciated

Thanks

I have bought a few eyepieces from APM and they were very fast even in covid times.

I usually had them within 10 days.

I'd trust them.

Greg.

Per APM they get the scopes from TS but then bench test them before they send them out so there may be an improvement in performance from their version. Same scope though.

So they may have stock for that scope.

I sent an email to TS yesterday regarding the availability of a 10” f5 CF newt
They replied last night and said it’s out of stock and their supplier who manufactures the CF tubes is having material supply issues. I was going to see if Sidereal Trading could supply a Klaus Helmerich CF tube. In saying that I’m sure TS use Klaus Helmerich CF tubes so I guess I’m snookered
APM just wanted an order , the reply was brief and no detail about delivery to Sydney, so I’m guessing they are out of stock too as like you mentioned they buy of TS
A real merry go round

TS and APM in Germany can’t help me with a Caron Fibre Newt so went to Sidereal Trading in Melbourne and Andrews in Sydney
Sidereal can supply a 10” Carbon Fibre tube sometime in March
Andrews have a 10” f5 metal tube Imaging newt in stock ( cheaper than buying separate GSO parts )

Aussie suppliers have come good again ......
