Was renovating the observatory and generally checking to make sure all the family members were still in tip top shape.

I enjoy looking at other peoples telescopes so thought this one should be put into the mix.
Finally finished, 18" (460mm) f4.7 mirror except for the odd tweak that will probably go on for ever... Mirror made from a 25mm thick piece of glass and silvered.

And I bet you weren't looking at it through the very expensive over rated finderscope sitting in front of the real telescopes

Been there done that. It doesn't matter how good a 3.5" telescope is, it is still only a 3.5" telescope.

Cheers,
John B

WO102mm Megrez

A nice example of an early WO102mm f/7 Megrez....

I've had it out a couple of times ... no complaints... really nice to use..

A piece of William Optics history .... haven't seen many of these around either.... or are they ' hiding ' .

Col.....
