Restored Telescope and Mount
I restored these items for a bit of a hobby to be used as a display piece and casual observing.
The mount was sanded, varnished, de-rusted, re-greased and painted. It looks great and the mount is very smooth.
The refractor is an F/11 Celestron Nexstar 80GTL. Slight surface rust was removed, focuser re-greased, Tube sanded and painted, optics cleaned.
I was really happy how they turned out, I did use some foam to secure the telescope in the mount as it's meant for a small reflector.
