Hey guys,
OpticsCentral's Annual Astronomy Night will be held
June 29, 2018 from 7:30pm - 10:30pm, sponsored by Saxon Telescopes.
Why should you care?
It will be a great night to hang out with your family and friends, meet new people, and try out a range of telescopes that you wouldn't be able to usually.
From my memory, this is the best beginner's astronomy event around Melbourne to just relax and explore a great range without the stress of borrowing someone else's scope for a night (or the stress of trying to not look TOO beginner and be judged for trying to put eyepieces in the wrong way). No judgments allowed here.
This event is purely casual so drop in and drop out during the night freely. But it would help us out if you registered so we can plan for how many nibbles and refreshments we need for the night. Please help us feed you!
Highlights
It's a great night to see Mars and Jupiter so check out those highlights before heading off.
We're running an astrophotography competition that night for a computerised telescope ($938.95 value). The winner will be selected at 10pm so stay around for that!
Makes for a great first or second scope or potentially a gift!
