Not sure how well you have contained the noise with this one...but...in
all other respects, this is one of the finest M8's I have seen on IIS
this season.

Excellent scale and framing, uber tight star profiles, perfect colours, highlight and shadow...just sublime.

Thanks Peter, Wasnt really expecting much, as stated no flats, pretty average conditions, and had to adjust tilt (post imaging session) of focusser after closely examining the stars, but for a quick test image looks OK. Been trying to get my head around some narrowband of M8, got sick of it so thought I would have go and spend an hour on the one shot colour data. Would love to take this rig out to Warwick!

Actually made a typo on my astrobin data, image was 15x180sec subs, not 300sec subs. Still in narrowband frame of mind!

Epic field. Lots of colors and details. These stars are so tiny.

Final version more core detail

Extracted ( no pun intended) some detail in the core. This is pretty much as good as I can do with the data. Look forward to re visiting M8.

Lovely!

Why not post the full image instead of the thumbnail?

Yes, I agree it looks good at "Fit to window" but has anyone actually looked at the full res?
