EOS300D vs EOS350D battery time

Hi All,
Any EOS350D owners out there who do Astrophotography, can you tell me how much exposure time you you can get with the 750 MaH Battery that comes with the 350D, I ask as I can get an Hour plus with the 300Ds 1100 MaH battery more with the 1800 MaH newer version, If the direct comparison is applied, then the 350D will only give 30-40 Mins. use ????, thinking of going to the 350D or maybe even the 400D (if it can be modified).

cheers....Jim

I've never used the silly 750ma canon battery - I don't know why they bother. I bought 4 1200mAh batteries off eBay and have been using them since.

A set (using battery grip) usually last a full night no problem. In fact, usually 2 nights. How many hours is that? not sure exactly. Never timed it precisely. I'd say at least 4 hours on a set.

Roger.

I did the same thing and have the battery grip with two1100 mAh, and i went a whole night continually imaging, although the battery low indicator came on at 3am it kept going until 4.30, start time was 9.30pm earlier that night.

EOS300D vs EOS350D battery

Hi Roger & Houghy,
Thanks for that, I guess Canon were trying to keep the Weight/Size down (they make a big noise about it) by comparison to the 300D, Ill look into the Battery Grip holder bit.

cheers....Jim
