well i completed 2 units but had problems signing in It said there was no hookedonsaturn and the keycode would not work.I posted in the help section and got no reply for 2 days then reposted as i couldnt sign in.The response was >>>>do not double post<<<<the person went on to say if no one answered that meant they needed more info. All in all i found the blokes attitude very arrogant .Since i have been on there this machine ran 24/7.I did at least let the 3rd set finish
However after his trying to make me seem like a total moron, well what can i say ? this is one person who will definately donateing my computer time

Just uninstalled, anything that won't stop when I tell it, locks up the computer and comes on in the middle of my other work in spite of the settings telling it otherwise, is not on here. Used to have Seti@Home and Folding@Home, and never knew they were there most of the time. I'm afraid the "improvements" to BOINC are anything but.

I've got SETI@Home running, 99,000 points to date... I'll add Einstein@home to Boinc when I get home from work.. I figure, I have 2 spare CPU's sitting there Idle.. I can dedicate on to this.. might also fire up my old dual CPU server and get it crunching away... Do they have a *nix version of Boinc?

As much as this is tempting, I already belong to Boinc@Australia (the biggest Australian Team) and have over two and a half million credits. Been there too long to leave now.
Hope you all do well though.

Have been on Einstein@home and climateprediction.net for a while now,
and have 180,000 credits on Einstein@home and 233,000 on climateprediction.net. I didn't think there were many out there on them but am plesantly supprised.
Cheers
Chris

I have 3 Dual Xeon Servers mothballing at the moment. I am though living in a RIM location with severely restrictive Broadband ASDL 8000/384.
I have been speed limited twice and have had to upgrade to a 25G plan but am concern whether Einstein would further diminish my download limit and create further restriction. Unfortunately Telstra are worthless but the only provider I can effectively join in my area. Would be nice if Bigpond ran Einstein in free zone.
I also use VoIP for my business during working hours and i dont want to affect operations during these times.
I couldn't find much information on typical download level for this. Can anyone advise please sounds like a worthwhile program to join.
And my kids enjoy World of Warcraft

From the website - Einstein@Home is a program that uses your computer's idle time to search for spinning neutron stars (also called pulsars) using data from the LIGO gravitational wave detector. It also searches for radio pulsars in binary systems, using data from the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. Einstein@Home is a World Year of Physics 2005 and an International Year of Astronomy 2009 project supported by the American Physical Society (APS) and by a number of international organizations.

Yes, and runs - slowly - on a dual CPU P-III 866.
I stopped running it on my Q6600 - the box was getting too hot with four BOINC tasks running.
