EQ 8 R and pier tripod

I am seeking an EQ8R with pier tripod with counter weights in top condition.

If you have a spare or just sick of not being able to use it please send me a PM with your best price and details of purchase etc...I really much prefer one with a tripod but if you have just the mount I would consider it by itself if it were to include a decent base plate for a pier.

I have a pier with a EQ6 that will carry an EQ8 but concerned about doing work to fit it hence prefering a pier tripod so as to leave the current mount in place...but if all you have is just the mount let me know.

Alex,
Testar have an EQ8 - R pro in stock ( less tripod ) for $6,999
Im sure you could negotiate a bit lower as not too many folk are splashing out that sorta cash at the moment
Maybe your pier might be ok to support it
Just a thought
Best

Thanks Martin..The pier is more than strong enough I just dont fancy casting another base plate
I spent yesterday afternoon in the big observatory and subject to setting up another tripod and mount it appears I can accommodate a few...I plan getting my "assistant" to dismantle the eq 5 from where it is and reassemble the tripod for it and set it up with the 115 mm to get a feel for how a eq8 will fit...the floor is quiet rigid...19 mm of particle board then 19 mm of ply with phoney timber floor boards over of about 5 mm and so should be rather firm...I suppose I could instal another pier ..maybe in time...I am still up in the air re filters for the RASA and it seems it is a more serious problem than I first thought...anyways its not going to worry me or upset me in anyway but its nice to see the beast sitting there as it was what I wanted before I got sidetracked thinking about a 16 inch...thanks again.
