AstroPhysics 140mm F7.5 and reducer Updated

I have been notified of a larger AP scope so reluctantly I have to sell my beloved AP140 and corrector.

I am the 2nd owner and the scope was pretty new when I got it - 4 months old or so.

This is a premium instrument, quite rare (Roland didn't make many as he mainly makes AP130's now).

It is extremely well corrected from infrared to UV. Its the best corrected scope I have used. Its the sharpest scope I have used.

The focuser is a rotating 4 inch focuser with feathertouch micro focuser. It rotates smoothly and easily.

It comes with an excellent set of rings and dovetail plates that are great to work with.

Lots of images taken with this scope are available. I am not aware of any nicks on the body, there is some scraping on the inside of the dewshield (it works). I have a case, rings, dovetail plates, Particle Wave dewcap, the fabulous 155TCC which gives .75 reduction and round stars to the corners of a 16803 chip (how rare is that) giving F5.625. It comes with a case.

Sample images taken with a Proline 16803 camera:

US$9500

Update:

I have had interest in the 155TCC and flattener separately so I may be able to sell the scope, case, rings without the 155TCC for USD$8750.

I have a 4 inch Tak flattener + adapters I have been using and it works nicely for US$600 (new they were US$950 plus shipping and GST = AUD$1250).

Greg.

That's a dream scope - congratulations Rick.

By the way, now I understand the cause of this unusually heavy and persistent rain in Brissie...

Hi Greg. I was just wondering if you would know how old this magnificent scope is?

I think it's from late 2007, Mark.

Cheers,
