And it's cloudy

Pulled the pin today on something I've been wanting to do for quite a while. Purchased a ZWO ASI294MC PRO. I've been using my trusty QSI683 ws8 for 10 years and it was due for some attention so I've sent it to Atik in Portugal for an overhaul. Unfortunately that process has taken longer than I was expecting so I decided to pick up a new OSC camera to keep me busy now that the rain seems to have subsided.

Got it all working this afternoon and managed to get Voyager autofocus and plate solving working before the clouds rolled in. My last OSC camera was a QHY8 PRO and I really regret selling it however I'm hoping the technology has improved since then. I'm looking forward to some clear nights with the ASI294MC camera and hoping to start producing some images again.

Cheers Dave. A bit of a cluster with computer issues and clouds rolling through. Might need to rethink USB cables for this one.

Hi Peter

Looking forward to your adventures with the 294C - the clouds did clear around midnight, but by then I'd packed up and gone to bed.

Tonight is looking good and the skies should be transparent after months of rain, although the Westerlies are picking up so maybe the seeing won't be good.

Cheers

Dennis

Yes I noticed it cleared however I was well over computer issues by then. Tonight is looking good early on however it looks like clouds again after 9pm.
