EQ5 mount with wooden Surveyors Tripod -- Needs some work

EQ5 plus old Surveyors wooden Tripod.

Hi have what I was told is a Skyview Pro EQ5 Mount, NON-GOTO. It may need stripping, and a repair, but does work.

Have slow motion knobs on Cables with it – new these cost me $30.
No counterweights will be with it, as I need these for another mount at the Moment – but you often get cheap Weight-lifters weights at Op-shops that would work.

It can have motors added, but don’t have any of these to fit it [My other one had Motors fitted].

Have a Old Surveyors Wooden Tripod to go with this mount. You would need to make an adaptor to fit it to the tripod – think this will be very easy if you access a lathe [may be at a Local Men’s Shed]. It was a planned project that I no longer need to do, as I purchased a HEQ5, and am saving for another more expensive mount.

Only $170--.

Mitchell, there is someone before you. Am trying to post Photos for him. But it asks me for my URL.

But if he is not interested, you can be next on the list.

John,

No worries. Would you prefer a private message/email, as previously mentioned I would need to get it posted.

Thanks

Price drop

The EQ5 + Tripod price has been dropped to $99--. It has striped gear in one axis, hence the low price.

Price drop $75. Think this can still be used if the stripped Gear is put on the other side of the 360 degree circle -- It could originally go 360 degrees

Why not? How hard can it be? Probably very! Anyway I could give it a go for that price. Please let me know if you still have it (the mount).

re: mount

Goulburn sounds doable only if it is for you. When suits?

cant come done until the week starting the 18th, unless I can make it next week. Have Colonoscopy on the 14th -- It give you diarrhoea before it, to empty your bowel. Will let you know if I make it next week.

thinking I may come to Canberra to meet you at railway station, then catch train back.

my BSB number is 012-820.

A/c Number 535970206

Name John Fry.

Would need money before I bring it down by train.

Would suggest a $25 extra to cover my costs, which I expect would be a fraction of the postage.

How does that sound to you ??

Hi John
That would be great, so long as you aren't inconvenienced. Have deposited the funds.
I know about colonoscopies - lining up for my third sometime soon - so commiserations.
