QHY8 as a Guider

Does anyone know of a program that can use the QHY8 and a GPUSB as a guider?

I know maxim sees them and I'll test that on the week-end, but if it has trouble I'd like another program to try out.

Maxim should do it. Just make sure to enable telescope control.

Looks like maxim is it, I can't find any others either. I would have thought with 4x4 binning it would work ok. Find out soon enough

Not a lot of joy here The hx camera comes back with a usb error when I put the qhy8 in as the guider. It does the same thing when running maxim twice, one for the hx and one for the qhy. Ran seperate usb cables for both.

On it's own, the qhy see's lots of stars binned 4x4 @ .5 second through the tak with reducer, but downloads are pretty slow. Maxim constantly said "guide star lost" when you switch over to track after it calibrated, but I've never been able to get maxim to guide with any camera. RTFM I suppose

Sorry Robin, did you try AstroArt? I can do this for you at my end if you like, maybe e mail me and explain exactly what you want me to do, and I can try it.
