Installing security on more than one device some assistance please

Hi guys, I have Bitdefender on my Desk Top and have used it for some time and it has proven to be quite good.

Although I have never done this it allows you to install it on another two devices, so i want to install it on another Desk Top, however I am not sure how to go about it so some suggestions might be in order please.

It dose tell me this however.

Make the most of your Bitdefender Internet Security Subscription and install it on 2 more device(s)
It only takes 3 easy steps.

1. Share Link
2. Open it on the device you want to protect.
3. Download and install Bitdefender Internet Security

Easy

Below that is the link they supply, so what do I do here with this link please.

I know it is probably simple, but I have never done this before.

Many thanks in advance.

Leon

You just need to open the link in a web browser on the device(s) you want to set up on. So if you have access to this email on the other devices simply open it on the new device & click on the link. If not you can just copy & paste the link into a notepad document then copy that to the new device then copy & paste the link into a web browser.

Cheers

Thank you Mark, there is no email as such, as the directions for this installation comes up when i click on the Bitdefender Security icon on my Desk Top.

There it informs me that one can install the Security onto another two devices.

It gives me a link to click on, which works and I have access to it for 24 hours and then i can get another if needed but how do i get this link to another device when it hasn't got any security installed as yet.

The other Desktop has everything identical to the one that i am presently using, internet browsers and the lot, the only thing just yet is Security.

So how can I get that link to the other Desktop please, other than what you described about copying and pasting.

Thank You.

Leon

Hi Leon. If you have a USB stick plug that into your computer that has the link. Create a folder on your USB stick. Then copy and paste the link into that folder. Then remove the USB and plug that into the other device. Then you go into the folder you created on your USB stick. Click on the link and you should be OK from there.
Cheers, Richard.
PS. If you want to go one step further once you have the USB stick with link copied plugged into your 2nd computer, copy the link and then paste it onto your desktop folder. Then click on the link.

Hi Leon,
Can you log into your Bitdefender Central account from the other devices? If you can you should be able to install it from there.

Cheers,
Mark

Hi Guys well that didn't quite work.
Sure I can copy the link to the clipboard and open it there on a page so to speak, however if i highlight it and try to copy that again and paste it onto the USB, there is no option to do it.

Anyway I will keep trying and see how we go.

Thanks, Leon

Hi Leon,

Open a blank word document, post the link on the page, save the document & then put the document on the USB.

Open the document on the new device, click on the link... if that doesn't open a browser window, copy the link into your browser...

Cheers
