Tripod for Alt/Az setup

All,

Has anyone experience with the Berleback astronomy tripods.
I am tossing up between the UNI 18 and the Report 4072, both for astronomy use.
Scope will be a 4-5 inch APO on a Alt/ Az mount (AYO)

The Uni 18 is rated for 50kg loads and has a weight of 8 kg.
The Report 4072 is rated for 15kg and weights 3.5 kg.

Just wondering if the Uni 18 would be overkill for a load of 10-11 kg

Regards,

Peter

Almost bout a smaller one myself, I think it would be overkill. Terrific looking tripod though

Depends if you're "sure" you won't need the larger capacity at some point in the future. I remember going for the lighter option in a Televue tripod years ago for the TV-85 I had at the time. A few years later I wanted a larger scope and wished I'd gone for the heavier tripod, which was pretty much the same price.
