Awesome NE proms 3 August 2022

It's all about the proms today on the sun. For a "quiet" sun, this is one monstrous group of proms.
Full disk Ha images taken with Daystar Solar Scout 60 double stacked with Lunt 40 etalon, ASI178MM camera and 0.5 reducer.
Close up Ha images taken with 72ED, Solar Scout Quark and ASI178MM.
White light images taken with 72ED, Meade white light filter, ASI178MM and 540nm filter.

There was actually a few other notable features but they paled into insignificance compared to the big one.

Nice set of images - at least the prom has given us something to focus on.

Cheers,

Thanks John. Maybe as this prom is on the eastern limb it may rotate onto the disk with some impressive features to view in the next few days. Here's hoping
Normally our main consideration is not having clouds but we'd also now like to add that a reduction in wind would be helpful
