Apollo 15 landing site .

Took these pictures using a c11 early Saturday night when the moon was high. First one shows the area of the moon where the landing occurred 51 years ago ( 7th august 1971) , near Hadley rille. If you magnify the picture you will see a small X marking the spot. The second picture shows a closer view of the Rille.

There also some fascinating pictures taken by the Apollo crew while on descent from the LEM...worth finding in the NASA archives

Nice rendition.

Very nice detailed images. The location brings back memories of those Apollo years in our youth.
