Astounding Service

Far out..... a little gobsmacked with excellent service allround!!

Last weekend, on Sunday as a matter of fact, I ordered some parts from Teleskop-Express in Germany. The order was processed quickly with an ETA of Monday (today)....... The package arrived Friday (ahead of schedule).

Now get this..... in the meantime, I realised I was going to need additional items, so I placed another order Thursday afternoon. The package arrived today!!! Four days from Germany to Adelaide - delivered.

Now that is top notch service!!!

Cheers

D

Mine was 1 day faster

Ordered Thursday night from FLO, DHL got it to my door this morning. Considering there's a weekend in the way, that's 2 business days (1 really, taking into account the time zone difference).

I do a lot of international parcels both ways. With deliveries to/from UK, China and Germany - 5 days is not uncommon and often faster than domestic parcels.

Something is really broken in the USA however - 15 days is good, 20 - 50 days not uncommon.

This one will be hard to beat. Our local postal needs used to be handled by
our newsagent, which was open Sundays. I posted a small parcel at 2.30pm
Sunday, and it was delivered to a suburb of Norwich [Norfolk] U.K. at 10am
on the Tuesday. 43.5hrs. Everything must have clicked at every point along the way.

I wish we could get it that quick over here. Have to order most stuff from the eastern states here in WA and even express post will take a week.

The flip side to this? AusPost.

Neil is right. A parcel was sent to me Express Post on Tuesday from WA. Expected Delivery in Sydney: tomorrow (Tuesday). 1 week for express post.

How can DHL get something to me across the world in less than 2 business days, and AusPost struggle with getting something across the country to me.

Ridiculous.

On the same day I ordered a sensor from California and book from Ballarat.

US parcel arrived in 6 days, DHL.

Ballarat? If I could have walked the distance there and back it would still have been faster!

(BTW it was a book called 'Henry Sutton, An Innovative Man', the biography of another unsung Australian genius.)

I'm thinking of ordering something from the Galactic Overlords to see if it get here before I send it...
