Pencil Nebula, NGC2736

The Pencil Nebula is a small part of the Vela Supernova Remnant, formed by the shockwave of a supernova explosion in the constellation Vela.

This was my first successful, uninterrupted by clouds, all-night session - 6.5 hrs on this target and an addition hour on the Lagoon Nebula.

Lights: 130 @ 180 seconds.
Flats and dark flats: 30 each; Darks: 50
Equipment as described in my sig. Filter: Optolong L-eXtreme.
Processed in Pixinsight, noise reduction and sharpened with Topaz Denoise AI and Topaz Sharpen AI
