Caught a flare on AR3038 21 June 2022

These two images were taken just 3 minutes apart and clearly show flaring from AR 3038. The GONG site at location Learmonth shows it nicely between frames 00:03 and 00:13 UT and then it just continues crackling away for hours.

The same images inverted which highlights the proms and filaments a little more.

Thanks John. Pity about the cloud. Unfortunately we've had cloud all day here as well. We had been hoping to catch a look at the very large filament near AR3032 as it approached the western limb. It looks like the weather hasn't really stopped us because on the GONG site it is just getting there now at 6.15PM so it looks like the northern hemisphere folk will get to see it.

Thanks Derek. Unfortunately we didn't get to see that large filament when it reached the limb. It has now exited stage right. We have been stuck in cloud for the last couple of days so the best we can offer you is an image taken by an experienced solar imager on CN.
