Harts Road

My observatory aka Starchaser, under a bortle 2 sky. The blue is light from the wifi link to the house. Note to self, better cover that led with tape.

incredible view.
How do you find the wifi range at distance? I would have thought a trenched Cat6 would be the go-to?

I didnt want to contemplate a trench to the observatory, Google tells me the distace is 290m. You can see the distance in this pic. For wifi, I bought some Ubiquiti antennas and set up a bridge link. Their range is in the km, so they are more than adequate. Overall the remote desctop experience is very good.

Hi Peter,

I thought I commented on this one earlier, but obviously not...

Love it - great colours, great detail in the stars, and I think the blue from the WiFi station adds a counter-point to the starlight.

Cheers,
V

You've captured the mood of the night sky there. I like it.

Greg.
