Debayer CYGM RAW images

I have an older Meade DSI II colour camera a gentleman gave me, in new condition. Not being in a position to purchase a newer dedicated camera I took it out last clear night we had (3 years ago?), sorry, a few nights back and used it with my RC8 for a small section of the moon.
After reading on so many different forums "It's best to capture RAW images in FITS format" I did exactly that, I wanted to see what I could get and always played with RAW images through my D810 Nikon.
I have now got the most disgusting image I've ever seen.

Simple, everyone/thing tells me I have to debayer the RAW images first, no problem.
That is until I (my son actually) checks on the sensor in the camera and tells me it's a CYGM image not RGB. Simple I say, Nikon used that format some years back.
Not so bloody simple, I CAN NOT find any program to work with my image files.
Is there anything I can do besides wait till I get a clear night again hopefully some time in the next 10 years?
I honestly don't think I have another 10 years left!

Are there any old versions of registax or anything that may help?
I've tried PiPP, no luck. I've seen mention of some of the pricier software doing it but I can't afford it to play with (Pixinsight).
It seems like RGB is it now?

Hi Leo,

I did a quick Google search on your CYGM and found this.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CYGM_filter

CYGM filter is an alternative color filter array to the
Bayer filter (GRGB).

Hoping that might help.

Paul.

Thanks Paul, I already found that but it wasn't much help.
Well, I'm old and too stupid but my son had a look for me and didn't find anything helpful. After I get dinner I'll have a look.

I thought I'd try Siril after seeing mention somewhere but it recognises RGB and only recognises my images as B&W.
Plus it's bloody confusing!
