Seagull Nebula

Not well centered but I was testing the goto on the EM400 with the HP and pocket sky. Not bad for a one star sync. Next time I will move it to the more appropriate position. Lots of nebulosity can be seen anyway.

Nice work Paul. Did you fix your auto guiding problems, as the stars look nice and round for 15 minute subs?

Cheers

Dennis

Still have not sorted it Dennis. It is spasmodic and I have come to the conclusion that it is likely to be flexure as the problem. I have made plans and purchases to correct the problem though. Only after I have these items in hand and done the relevant tests will I know for sure.

Thanks so much for asking.

Paul, Nice image. Resolved the Nebulosity quite well.
I would be surprised if it is flexure in the guide platform. It is not like it is moving huge amounts when guiding and the scopes concerned aren't that heavy. I would be more inclined to thing it's a PEC correction problem. I don't know whether you can turn PEC off but it may be worth a go if you can. The Tak mount shouldn't need it to maintain accuracy with active guiding.

Just a thought.
