My narrowband rendition of this area taken with the Tak TSA120/QSI683 in Ha, OIII, SII. Using the SHO pallet as a starting point and then moving on from there. For reasons that I am unsure of this image challenged me at first to get the colours and processing to fall into place. Much staring at screens for extended periods seemed to help and I am fine with where it has landed.
I sub titled this image "A Fish in Space" as I can see a fish swimming across the field of view. The fish has a pointy nose and rather bulbous lips. Or, as I have noted in the Astrobin post, I may be spending too much time out in the dark taking pictures
Crazy looking scene that Rodney. Like the Trifid and M42, it's probably one of those areas that I recon looks best in RGB or HaRGB, but this is certainly still a striking and intriguing scene as you have presented it . The noise reduction is perhaps just a little obvious in the full size version though, maybe you could dial that aspect back just a tad..? But!...I found the fish

I did feel the need to go a little harder with the noise reduction on this one I must admit. Thanks for the feedback though and I will have a closer look to see if I need to back it off a bit.
Just had another squiz Rod and have to say, I do like the less often seen, complex shapes revealed by the NB

Thanks, I guess that is one of the reasons that I think that narrowband does work on some objects as it brings out a lot of detail that may not be fleshed out otherwise. And of course we get lots of pretty colours
Interesting NB colors but there is a disconnect between your star field and the neb. It's obvious they are on two separate layers. Maybe because the neb noise reduction is applied a tad too much. It's kind of blurry and blocky. I'd dial back the NR even if it means leaving a bit of grit in it. Or add data when conditions are better. We have a couple of good nights coming up

Thanks Mathew. Your observation is very well spotted actually as I was conscious of leaving some green hue lurking about as it did seem to add value to the image.
