Well the first decent one in that it was more than just testing the set up.
I dont know what it is and this is just a photo of the laptop screen...but its just so much fun.
The funny thing is I am using Sharpcap rather than the software that came with the microscope camera.
This photo took a long time but I got a feel for setting adjustment.

Nice effort Alex I have always wanted to play around with microscopes, now you have given me some inspiration, seems like a lot of fun.
Had a Microscope when i was a kid, but have no idea where it ended up.
When I was in hospital I saved the no needle syringes so I can collect and manage samples easier.
I have a few syringes so it will make sampling much easier.
Tomorrow I plan to see what variations I find in life at different depths in the pond...And oddly the pond I am using has little slime...so I may go to the big fish pond...I can get there with my wheely walker I think..I big expedition, an adventure....and when I feel much better (still very wobbly for some reason) I will get samples from the dam...mmmm each dam.
But for the price of the microscope , this one a trinocular with camera, at around $600 is great value...great entry level.
I save the one Thomas sent me for the observatory..it is bigger and much better and I have to learn a fair bit to get the best out of it...
Anyways for anyone thinking they would like one please note that you can get a unit with the same optics as the one I used for the photo for around $120...it will only have a single eye piece and an unsophisticated stage but otherwise you will get the same views as I am getting..$50 for a camera and you are there.

Hi Leon
I recommend that you get yourself a microscope as I am sure you will get your moneys worth.
Here is a review of one that is rather decent for a modest sum. https://youtu.be/DuAgO1VBFFk
Alex,
Great micro image , it does resemble a flea but hard to tell
Looking forward to your next strange creature of our micro world
A dust mite would be good ,there are plenty of them in out pillows when we sleep at night
Great work !
Martin
Thanks Martin...I am looking for a "water bear" I have viewed one but I want some photos....you also should consider getting a microscope as I am sure you would enjoy the experience.

I did these many years ago with an old Sony video camera and a trinocular scope I got on ebay yonks ago. I have a much nicer Nikon one now, but have struggled to get better results to be honest. I think I need to get a better camera adapter.

Thank you both for posting your fine efforts.
I think I was rather lucky with the flea as I have not found another...or a water bear...in fact there are rather few animals to be found unless I search inside decaying water lilly stems...I found something that looked like a snail but the photos are not flash.
Looking at dead mozzies is fun also and I find it amazing that the microscope can show such find detail like the little hairs on their legs. I have a cheaper digital microscope (under $50) that has lower magnification suitable for flies etc but I have not used it much...so that will be a whole other area..I thought getting the digital a sensible step before getting a stereo microscope...

This is the best I can do for this little chap...the round creatures at its side were very busy and I got the impression they may have been feeding on him...but I really dont know.

Alex, they might have a symbiotic relationship, like Remoras attaching to Sharks or other large fish, to pick up scraps.
