problem with skysafari

hi im john and i have been struggling to control my scope with skysafari 6 pro.
i have a samsung galaxy tablet with synscan app on it and an ipad mini2 with skysafari 6 pro on it,

my telescope is a skywatcher 650mm and 130mm apature and a AZ GTE MOUNT

i can do the northen allighmenet with synscan on galaxy tablet but when i try to connect skysafari to my mount on my ipad it gives me a message saying (sky safari cant make wirelles connection, make sure you have put the correct ip address and make sure you internet is on)

can any one please help me figure out what im doing wrong

If the iPad has a sim card for mobile data, turn it off. Check that the ip:127.0.0.1 and the port:11882 is correctly entered. Mount type: SynScan alt/az GOTO. I would go the other way round, SS6 on the Galaxy and SynScan on the iPad.

Don't open SS6 on one device until you've done the alignment with synscan on the other device.

the ip im showing is 192.168.4.2 and port is 11880 that came with the mount documents

the ipad does have a sim card in it wow why didnt i think of that thanks mate your a life saver i will try it

The ip you have appears to be correct, I'm using a WiFi dongle which would explain the difference.
EDIT: Test port 11882.

i tried and turned mobile data off but still same problem

port number 11880 is what i got on the book that came with the mount.
i have tried 11881 11882 11883 but still same problem

Have a look at this thread, it seems to be a common problem with iOS. I suggest you put SkySafari Pro on your android Galaxy tablet and SynScan on your iPad. Although the android device will run both at once, unlike the iOs device which will not.

If you are forced to buy SkySafari again to put it on your android device, drop me a pm and I'll sort you out.
