Need help with PHD2

Hi Guys,
I am just getting back into some astrophotography but can not work out PHD2, I purchased a ZWO120mm to use as a guide camera but dont have a clue on how to make it work within PHD2, there is too many drop downs I dont know which one to pick.

I have an ED80 on a AZ-EQ6 and will be using a ZWO120mm through the orion finder scope.

Thanks in advance guys, i'm sure its easy but too many options to pick that I dont know about.

So far I have selected ZWO under the camera interface and downloaded ascom drivers, the rest I'm stumped.

If you are plugging the guide camera directly to the mount guide port you need to pick "on camera" for the mount drop down choice. Then click connect all, auto select a guide star and if all is good it will calibrate and start guiding. Sounds easy but it is very unlikely that this will happen first up and you will have do a lot more reading and asking for advice. It took me a few goes to get everything playing nicely.

Try Metaguide, it is designed to work with those ZWO videi cameras and they are in the list. I have the ZWO130 as a guide camera and had all sorts of problems with PHD, but it worked first time with Metaguide..

Thanks mate, just keeping this set up simple compared to what I used to have.
I'm sure I will sort this software out soon.

Cool Tony, looking forward to seeing your images again.
Sorry I can't help you, I've been out of the loop for ages too.
Haven't used PHD2 yet.
In fact I haven't had first light of the 150 yet either.

Which camera are you imaging with?

I'm interested in the solution to your problem too so I'm subscribing.

I'm a Sony fan, I do a lot of photography with MY sony A7RII, so I got a Sony a6000 modded to full spektrum to use as Astro camera with UV/IR filter and to do some IR imaging, i'm not into CCD cameras for my needs....yet...lol

Had a play with guiding tonight, got it working fine with PHD2, got the basics right, Now need to work on some of the advanced settings

I was definetly over thinking all the set up drop downs, it does seems to want to make adjustments too often so will work out how to slow this down with out changing the camera exposure.

Increase the min move setting and/or reduce the aggressiveness.

They are on the bottom of the guide graph when the mount is connected and in the brain button under algorithms
