Astronomy 2016 Book (free to a needy family)

Hi all,

I messed up and ended up with 2 copies of the Astronomy 2016 Australian Guide. I only need one.

http://www.boomerangbooks.com.au/Ast...FQwlvQodxDEBuA

I am happy to offer one copy to a needy family free of charge posted anywhere in Australia.

Ideally, I would like to see this go to a family or single parent who have children, or a child, interested in astronomy but through financial hardship cannot afford to buy their own copy for the children.

Cheers
John B

Hi John,
Just a quick suggestion, but have you tried the local caravan parks?
I get a lot of families in mine & they are always happy to get the previous years book.
Lots of relevant stuff in them.

Anyway, just an idea.

Stay safe.

Regs, Laurie..

Donate it to your local primary school. Seems odd, but they generally do not get updated books on Astronomy. In the case of my local school, they have almost none.

I donate my mags to the local primary school so that the young ones can cut out pictures for posters, projects etc...

OIC!

The local high school is an option I had considered, but I figured that I would see if there was an Ice In Space forum member who wanted it, before I gave it to the school.

Cheers,

Hi Doug,

If you give me $15 for the book I will post it to you and donate $30 to Cancer research. Deal?

Cheers,
John B

Hi Doug,

I have just bought a telescope for my son who has mild autism and he has shown a huge fascination in the stars.
Is the book still available by chance?

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes it is and I am happy to send the book to your son.

If you send me a PM with your name and address I will post it to you. Actually give your sons name and I will post it to him

Cheers,
John B
