Satellite Train

At about 10.15pm EDST, I witnessed a trail of about 20 satellites in a perfectly straight line, evenly spaced apart. Never seen anything like it before. Thought they could have been very high flying military jet fighters but there were just too many of them. Then I thought they were aliens orbiting our planet to invade us! Did anyone else see this from Melbourne tonight

You probably saw a train of Elon Musk' Starlink satellites. Check the predictions on Heavens-Above.com for Melbourne at that time.

Seen it too many times now. Disappointing yet fascinating every time. Just wait till there's even more of the blasted things up there following each other - astro images are going to be nothing but trails
