Yeah a nice little bird this one. Though they tend to scare off the azure kingfishers which are super awesome little rockets

Are you sure this isn't the Forest Kingfisher? The colour matches better but of course the wing spot (or lack of) is diagnostic.

He answered "Dek Dek Dek Dek" which makes him a Sacred model according to Pizzey.

OK. It's just that he is markedly blue and has very little buff, very different to Bob's and others I have seen.

Did he say whether you'll see a comet shadow in Sept.??
