After much cogitation I have finally decided to sell my 8" collapsible dobsonian.
(Saxon brand - identical product also available in black paint from Skywatcher)
It is approximately 12months old and perhaps used half a dozen times. It is in excellent/brand new condition as you might guess from the lack of use. IMHO this is a great telescope - amazingly portable and easy to set up etc. The reason I am selling is due to a lack of use as when my evenings do permit me a spare 20-30 minutes of star gazing I increasingly find myself reaching for my refractor simply because it is even smaller and quicker to set up outside.
Brand new these 8" collapsible dobs retail between $580-$600 depending upon which Oz astro shop you look at but I am looking for something around $300 but I am open to offers as I would like to see it go to a good home as it is a shame that I can't give it time under the stars.

I can't emphasise this enough but this dob is in brand new condition from very little use - it has been under the stars perhaps half dozen times - indistinguishable from a brand new model.
I am extremely grateful for the generated interest in the Dob.
Unfortunately, at this greatly reduced price of $250 (originally listed at $400) I would now prefer a local buyer to simply pick-it up as I don't want to spend any time looking for boxes/packaging it all up etc.
Consequently - Dob is still available at $250 for local pick-up only.
