I have a chinese version EQ3 mount for sale, that I bought for the last Venus transit in 2004. I have upgraded to a HEQ5Pro so this is now surplus and should go to a good home. It comes with manual slow motion controls only - no drive motors. The Dec gear is 120 teeth and the RA gear is 144 teeth. I had planned to add motors to this but never really got around to it. Has one counterweight - approx. 6lb.
I added a bubble level to the mount to assist with levelling. Works well. It has a mounting plate on it that is designed for scope rings - I only used it with a piece of wood to mount a Maksutov and video camera. I also have a Guan Sheng dovetail mount holder that would fit this - extra $25.
$140 ono - prefer local buyers as I don't have the original packing (moved house since).
